Obituary of Scout Miller

Please share a memory of Scout to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Scout was a stray living in our old apartment complex in Boothwyn, PA.  She was well-known around the neighborhood because she was very friendly and loved to come up to you for some pets. She would follow us when we walked the dog so we put a little storage shelter outside and then we started to develop a bond. On February 20, 2015, a snow storm hit us and it was bitterly cold outside. Scout came into the mud room area of the apartment building and walked right into our apartment. I told my husband (fiance at the time) that I couldn't just bring myself to put her back outside, and he agreed. From that day forward she has been the most lovable cat I have ever owned.

Her teeth are missing in the front, which is why her tongue hangs out. She loved to have her nose rubbed and after some serious TLC she very quickly learned how to play. Scout would snort while playing with her toys. She also let everyone and anyone snuggle with her whether you wanted to or not!  And although her "big" little sister would beat her up from time to time, she still came out of her room to snuggle with me and my baby on the couch. I will miss cleaning the goop from her eyes (she developed a sickness from all the litters of kittens she had as a stray) and the spray from all her sneezes (gross, I know but it was a labor of LOVE).

I will miss her loud purr and rubbing her sweet little face. I will miss her good morning rubs when I give her her breakfast. I will miss seeing her run from her room to jump up on the couch to be with us. I will miss this kitty cat more than I can say. I am honored to have given you three great years because you gave me so much more. We love you Scout. Thank you for finding us..
