Obituary of Jewels Suchanick
12/2/2005 – 1/9/2023
 

Our best friend, Jewels passed peacefully on Monday, January 9th, 2023 at the age of 17 with Mom and Dad.  She was welcomed into our family on February 6th, 2006, weighing 4.6lbs at 10 weeks old.
 

Jewels was a mix of a Jack Russel Terrier and a Pug, which made her a ‘Jug’.  She had the energy of a terrier, was amazingly intelligent and had an incessant hunger.  Jewels loved chasing our boys around the house (for fun) but sometimes to be a mother hen, barking until the transgressor sat in time out.  She enjoyed basking in the warm sunlight, tugging rope and catching & eating bubbles.
 

Jewels loved to greet new visitors, and until age caught up with her, needed to be first in line to see what new humans came to visit.  But her favorite thing to do was snuggle with loved ones.  Not only did Jewels love sitting with her family on the couch, but she absolutely had to be underneath a blanket, digging all around ensuring she was comfortable and sufficiently covered.
 

All who met Jewels came to appreciate her gentle disposition, but also her fun-loving personality.  
 

We miss her dearly and will always cherish the time spent with her.
