Obituary of Penny Berenato

Please share a memory of Penny to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Our Penny-girl, as she was called, was a free spirit, wild at heart and beloved by her family and friends and neighbors. She arrived unannounced in a little pink crate, just off a plane from Myrtle Beach. Sam, a sophomore at Seton Hall, was on Spring Break and decided to "adopt" a pup of six weeks old and take her home with him...and go back to college and leave her with me! Even though I didn't choose Penny, she became precious to all of us, in a very short time. Her "brothers" Henry, Sam, Luke and James all had very uniquely special relationships with her from indulgent to disciplinary. We all loved her ferociously and she gave so much to all of us. We will cherish every minute of her 11 years and all the wonderful memories we have of our smart, adventurous girl. She will be forever in our hearts.
