Our dearest Rosco
Over 15 years we have loved you and yet it still is not enough. We went to Booth’s Corner on a Saturday
in February 2010 as a family of 4 and left a family of 5. It was love at first site. You completed our family.
You were not just our family pet - you became our family member. Our third son. Dante and Nicholas’
baby brother.
You filled our house by barking out of excitement and wagging your tail uncontrollably every time we
walked through that door. Unconditional love at it’s finest. You loved to chase the boys and make holes
in their blankets and clothes. You chewed off the hands of their wrestling figures and pencil erasers and
begged them for any kind of food they had. Every morning when I left for work you would jump in my
spot and cuddle with Daddy until it was time for your morning walk. In the evening you would stand
behind me on the back of my chair at dinner time for even the smallest of bites. And every night you
would give Daddy and I a look letting us know you wanted to have your “huggy time” before heading to
bed. On your way up to our room you would give one last look as if to say hey are you coming to bed
now too. And whenever anyone came to visit us you always demanded a treat by barking as soon as
they walked in the door until your demand was met.
You loved to go bye bye’s in the car and came everywhere we could bring you. If we left the house
without you - you would cry and even try to bite us, well mostly Nicholas. You always wanted to be
anywhere we were. Your favorite destination was Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop’s house where you were
treated like the king you were. Mom-Mom always had a plate of whatever fantastic food she made
ready and waiting for her grandson and Pop-Pop showered you with all the treats and “pets”. Your
ultimate favorite treat was ice cream from the ice cream truck where you would shake with excitement
while waiting your turn in line. I really think you did not know you were a dog.
Unfortunately you could not live forever. To say we are heartbroken is putting it mildly but you were sick
and it was time. Until we meet again we will miss you terribly and we will love you “furever” and ever.
Our greatest love.
