In Loving Memory of Frangelica Meloni�Beloved Therapy Dog�4/27/11 – 5/30/25

With heavy hearts and immense gratitude, we say goodbye to Frangelica, a loyal and loving therapy dog, who crossed the rainbow bridge on May 30, 2025.

Frangelica was more than just a pet—she was a source of comfort, joy, and healing to all who met her. She will be remembered for the countless lives she touched, her wagging tail at the sight of a child, the way she laid her head on the lap of someone in need, her approach in knowing exactly who needed her most at any time, and her unwavering calm in the most trying of times (not counting her craziness in her early year). Whether sitting quietly by a hospital bed or helping children learn to read aloud without fear, Frangelica did her work with grace, compassion, and an open heart.

Frangelica was not just a companion—she was a healer, a listener, and a best friend. She served through PAWS for People since 4/19/14 until her final days. She served as an Ambassador to the AKC National Dog Show.  She was also willing to get married in order to raise funds for PAWS for People, something most would not do. Her wonderful husband, Shaggydog Stark, predeceased her last summer after five wonderful years of marriage, thanks to their officiant, The Honorable Nathanial Nichols.

Frangelica served as a therapy dog in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, libraries, hospice, courthouses, and the Law Office of Kathryn A. Meloni, Esq., P.C.,  bringing calm to anxious hearts and smiles to faces young and old. Her gentle demeanor and warm presence had a way of easing pain without a word, reminding us all of the simple, profound power of love.

She started the Therapy Dog program at the Delaware County Courthouse (twice), where she led numerous dogs to assist people at the courthouse. She attended numerous seminars and events with the Delaware County Bar Association, as well as attending two Bench-Bar Conferences. 

She leaves behind her mother and best friend, Kathryn, along with a community of people who were lucky enough to feel her warmth.  Rest easy, sweet girl. Your pawprints will forever remain on our hearts.
