Mason was born in Elizabeth, NJ on October 9, 2009 the runt of his litter.
He lived in Roselle Park, NJ and Brick, NJ with his Mom, her sister, Gma and Gpa. When Mason was 5 his Mom Jackie got married and he moved to Malvern, PA. Where a few years he gained steel knees from a torn ACL and acquired more pack members. In December 2023 Mason was diagnosed with liver cancer which was supplied by a blood vessel meaning it would come back even if removed. His family made the decision to do palliative care.
The cancer NEVER stopped him or slowed him down. Mason loved boating, running including zoomies, playing in the snow, car rides, eating seashells, ripping apart paper products and sticks, chasing balls and so much more. Mason especially loved everyone and everything and even went out of his way to meet new people and make new pet friends.
Mason leaves behind a few siblings: Malibu, Smokey, Lynn, Kuffy, Bandit.
Poem:
The Collar's Lament The collar hangs, silent and still, A gentle ghost, in the twilight chill. Once vibrant with jingles, a melody bright, Now echoes of memories, lost to the night. Faded fur and spots on the floor, where joy used to roam, The pawprints are shadows, lost far from home. Eyes that once sparkled, now clouded with years, In the heart’s tender corners, linger soft tears. Each moment we cherished, now laced with goodbye, In dreams, we still hear you, in whispers you sigh. Though you’ve crossed over, to fields bathed in sun, In the collar’s stillness, our love’s never done.
