My baby since day one. I was present when he was the first born of the litter on May 28th, 2008. We bonded until he was ready to be brought home with me when I was just 19 years old. Louis was a fiercely independent and mischievous dog, and had full steam energy until the last week of his life. He was my forever puppy. I never underestimated his intelligence to learn new words, phrases, and tricks. He was still learning performative tricks and new toys by name at age 14. Always ready to “go buh-byes on a ride” in the car, he was the best road dog. Running errands and travelling will never be the same without him. Like a true friend, he never let anyone eat alone and always got the last bite, ensuring no crumb was left behind. Louis was the best thing about me for 17 years. I have always been so proud of him. He taught me so many things without having to say a word. He wasn't just my world, he was the sun and the rest of my days will be a shade darker without having him by my side.
