Chinini Parks-Salas Obituary

Chinini, our beloved chinchilla, passed away on January 31, 2026, leaving behind a quiet space that will never feel the same without him.

Born on September 4, 2015, Chinini was the cherished son of Simona Salas and Fernando Salas, and the proud little brother of Amira Parks, and was deeply loved by his aunts and uncles. From the very beginning, he made it clear he was different from other chinchillas in the best possible way. A runt of the litter, he grew into the toughest boy of all, proving that size never defined strength or spirit.

Chinini was the goodest boy: a true floofer, a certified little weirdo, and a chinchilla with an adventurous soul. Even as a baby, curiosity followed him everywhere, and that spark never faded. He loved his oats and Cheerios, lived for snack time, and somehow managed to be a complete ladies’ man along the way.

He brought endless joy, laughter, and comfort to those who loved him. Chinini was more than a pet—he was family. He was deeply loved, endlessly cherished, and will be forever missed.

Though his paws are no longer with us, Chinini will always live on in our hearts, in our memories, and in every quiet moment where we swear we can still feel his presence.

Rest easy, sweet, little floof. You were loved beyond words.
