Obituary of Bernard Blake

Bernie was a rescue form Hurricane Katrina. He spent the first six years in Louisiana as a resident of Saint Bernards parish and lucky for me the following twelve years as my buddy. When I adopted him I was told he had been in the floods that followed the storm for five weeks. After I was told of his ordeal I decided never again would he want for anything.  Home we went and best buds we became.  For the next  twelve years we listen to music, raced around like a bat out of hell, hung out on the porch and antagonized squirrels, even went on walks. He wasn’t much of an outdoor cat but he loved to hang out in the yard occasionally and enjoy a little nature. He was special boy and the memory's of him will live with me forever. I was a lucky human to have him in my life for as long as I did. Rest easy buddy and I hope to see you again.
