Obituary of Rico Larson
Please share a memory of Rico to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
In the summer of 2008 Rico adopted us. We were in Puerto Rico visiting family, and Rico was a stray (although he preferred the term ‘beach dog’). Andrés was his first contact – the two of them, along with Javier, happily dug for crabs with Sofa following behind. He slept on our patio and was waiting for us when we returned from day trips – he’d clearly decided he was a part of our family so it was up to us to figure out how to get him to Pennsylvania.
For the following 12 ½ years he trotted through our lives, providing joy, love, companionship and more than a little amusement. He protected us from dangers real and imagined, ok, mostly imagined, and accompanied us through life transitions. We’ll miss his sweet enthusiasm and treasure our memories!
