Obituary of Rita Jackson
Please share a memory of Rita to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rita came into her family in a curious way, “what kind of dog IS that?” A Dorkie. From that moment on, her life was lived with nothing short of curiosity and adventures. From squeezing under the neighbors fence for an “unscheduled play date” to investigating (sometimes a little too closely) every critter in the yard.
Rita was well traveled, having had countless road trips up and down the east coast, to California and back with even some tops in between. She loved being in the Philadelphia area most where she could sit in the back yard for hours stalking birds and squirrels, while awaiting visits from family and friends bearing treats. Rita an avid bird watcher, was a core member of the “Cuddle Crew”, a founding member of “Puppy Slumber Party” and really fell into her role as “HR” when her family started working from home amidst the pandemic, diffusing any work stresses with cuddles and kisses.
She is survived by her big sister Darlene who will desperately miss Rita’s grooming sessions. Rita’s love for everyone she meets is always reciprocated as she is everyone’s favorite pooch.
She will be loved for eternity.
