Obituary of Rascal "Raz" H. Tucker

Rascal ("Raz") Hersheigh Tucker was born January 20, 2009 in Philadelphia, PA. He enjoyed long walks, riding in the car with his Mom, having late-night parties in the kitchen with his Pop-Pop and T-Mom, and getting belly rubs from his Mom-Mom while she watched TV. He was little but, as brave as a pit bull and a fearless protector of everyone he loved. He was our little conman, winning us over with just one look into his eyes. He was sweet, playfull, full of energy and a fighter until the end.

You were our favorite Hello and our hardest Goodbye. You will forever be loved and missed.

They will not go quietly,
the pets who’ve shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.
Old habits still can make us think
we hear them at the door
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.
And although time may bring new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts
belongs to them…
and always will.
