Obituary of Zeus Giampaolo
Please share a memory of Zeus to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Zeus crossed the rainbow bridge on January 31st, 2022. He passed peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by comfort, love, and his family.
Zeus was born on October 17th, 2012, and was adopted by his dog dad, Gianpaolo. Gianpaolo adopted him because he did not want to separate him from his brother, Fletcher. Gianpaolo saved him from being a guard dog in a warehouse in Philadelphia, and gave him the best life ever with his brother.
Zeusy loved many things, but most of all he loved protecting his family. Zeus was a natural guard dog who fiercely stood to protect our home from other dogs, squirrels, and the Amazon delivery driver. Zeus also loved his bones, chewing on our shoes, trips to the dog park, ripping his squeaky toys to shreds, and cuddles.
More than anything else, Zeus loved his dog dad, Gianpaolo, his adopted dog mom, Caroline, and his brother, Fletcher. He was always there to give us kisses and cuddles when we got home from work, and he gave us unconditional love that will never be replaced.
Zeus truly blessed our lives with so much love. Up until his final moments, Zeus showed us his admirable strength. At the end of his life, Zeus suffered from limited mobility due to multiple injuries to his back leg. He had a difficult time walking and going up the stairs, but he was so strong. He took his last walk the night he passed away, managing to have the strength to go for a short walk in the snow.
We will miss you dearly, Zeusy Bear. We know you are still with us in our hearts, and we will forever be inspired by your bravery. We love you Zeus.
