Until we meet again...

 

I needed a home and I was blessed,

you chose me as your own,

and in my heart I knew that day,

I'd never be alone.

 

You always kept me safe and warm,

you shared your life with me.

I loved when I was in your lap,

my favorite place to be.

 

The days turned quickly into years,

I was always by your side,

and even though I wished to stay,

I had to say goodbye.

 

So please go on without me,

for now we must part ways.
