It is often said that dogs come into our lives to teach us about love, and they depart to teach us about loss.

 

Theo, you filled a hole in our hearts, that we didn’t know we had until you were gone.

 

Now you have taken a big piece of our heart with you across the rainbow bridge, because you gave us so much love and joy.

 

Today we feel a Profound sadness of a love so pure.

 

But if this pain we are feeling right now is the cost of being on the receiving end of a neverending love that we got from you Theo…then we will pay it with enormous gratitude.

 

And I also know that we filled your heart with love every single day that we were together. I would look into your eyes everyday, peering deep into your soul, and kissing your head I would remind you, over and over again, just how much your mom and dad loved you….so I hope you had no doubts…

 

And when I get consumed by the sadness of missing my buddy, your mom is there to remind me that your life Theo is a celebration, and should be treated as such. So today we will rejoice in all the happiness, comfort and amusement which you brought everywhere with you. And the overwhelming feeling of your parents right now is immense pride - that you were ours, and we were yours, forever.

 

We now take comfort in the fact that you are resting easy with Grandma up above, and now she can give you all the sticky rice balls your little heart desires.

 

Thank You for everything Theo. We know deep down in our hearts that you are okay now. And we have nothing but the fondest memories of you which we will cherish forever.
