Marley Sullivan
March 8, 2009 ~ June 27, 2022

Our sweet, brave, beloved Marley gave us pure joy for 4,859 days and we never expected the adventures he would take us on.

Marley came into our life unexpectedly, he already had his name but to us he was “Puppy” and for his entire life he had the boundless energy of a puppy.

Born in Arkansas, Marley spent his first year in Alaska raised lovingly by his momma, Caroline.
Marley then moved to Ocean View, NJ, eventually, retiring with us to Gordonville, PA.

Marley was our constant companion traveling with us in “his” RV. He loved his car rides to Maine and Florida and every afternoon after his dinner, he would run into his carry bag for his ride around the neighborhood. Marley’s favorite campground was Fort Wilderness in Disney World loving his golf cart rides.
Thunder or fireworks never bothered Marley, but he would bark at every animal on TV.

Marley never ceased to amaze us. He loved his routine and his nightly walks with his pop~pop. Though he couldn’t talk we had our own language. He’d give his mom~mom kisses on demand. Marley was a trooper to the end staying strong for us. The day Marley went to sleep when there was a knock on the door, Marley barked to protect us! You were so brave.

Our sweet boy gave us unconditional love and only asked for treats in return. You don’t know what love is until you are loved by a dog.

There will be a hole in our hearts forever. Marley, you were simply the best.

“Until one is loved by an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened”.

Anatole France
