Obituary of Lady Macbeth Cooper
Lady Macbeth Cooper
Lady MacBeth, to quote Shakespeare, as she is, shuffled off this mortal coil on July 4, 2022, every bit as she shuffled into our arms July 8, 2007.
Fifteen years of wonder and a lifetime of love. We never saw her sad or angry a day in her life. Whenever she felt it, she would woof it out. She would simply be asked up to the couch and the chairs nears the Dogfather’s office area where she stepped on him more than he on her.
She loved with ebullient brilliance. She left us in between. Life is sweet. We own pets, but they own hearts. They say we are a bit of a full life, but they get God to give us ours; Lady was that - every moment was special. In her last few years, she loved leaning to Shakespeare.
She did not die the way her namesake did; she died in the arms of her mother. We all appreciate that and wish we could be there as well. Her last few weeks went from feeling well to needing constant attention.
She is survived by her best friend Platty, the platypus; her inseparable brother Tybalt (never her room apart or distressed or to do so); her canine sister Cordelia; her human parents Branan and Desiree; her human sister and brother Heather and Sean... a great Sophie in law - and so so many more.
We reap what we sow. I invite you to read the second through fourth phrases of All Things Bright and Beautiful.
Lady, I will miss my 5:15 am wakeup call though you never quite got the concept of weekends or holidays.. As I said in that last call your mom she put together; you truly are the best friend I've ever had - you've been been my constant and my guardian companion for 15 years; my office companion as well.
As started, let's finish with Shakespeare - somewhat out of context - Good night sweet princess and let flights of angels sing you to thy rest.
I will miss you forever.
All things bright and beautiful
All creatures great and small
All things wise and wonderful
'Twas God that made them all
Each little flower that opens
Each little bird that sings
He made their glowing colors
And made their tiny wings
All things bright and beautiful
All creatures great and small
All things wise and wonderful
'Twas God that made them all
The purple headed mountains
The rivers running by
The sunset and the morning
That brightens up the sky
All things bright and beautiful
All creatures great and small
All things wise and wonderful
'Twas God that made them all
The cold wind in the winter
The pleasant summer sun
The ripe fruits in the garden
He made them every one
All things bright and beautiful
All creatures great and small
All things wise and wonderful
'Twas God that made them all
He gave us eyes to see them
And lips that we might tell
How great is the Almighty
Who has made all things well
All things bright and beautiful
All creatures great and small
All things wise and wonderful
'Twas God that made them all
