Gandolf (Gandy) was a pure bread German Shepherd born in Deutschland (Germany). He became part of the Barksdale family in December 2012 when he was 13 months old and already 72lbs. He was a gentle giant loved by all.

Gandy lived a wonderful life. He loved to eat, especially steaks, cheese and pizza. Some of his favorite things were playing with balls, tug toys, going for walks and having fun with water and in the snow.

However, the thing he loved the most was spending time with his family, especially his Daddy Chris, his best friend. Gandy never left his side.

He will be missed beyond words by everyone that knew him but mostly by his parents Chris and Tina and the kids, Conor and Cody. He brought so much joy to our lives and did a remarkable job protecting his family. Gandy was extraordinary and will hold a special place in our hearts forever.
