Obituary of Tweet Neuberger

Tweet Neuberger 5/15/2010 to 10/22/2022.  

Tweet was rescued from a kill shelter in Ohio as a puppy and made her way into my heart and home here in Delaware at four months old.  Always the nurturer, she loved to wash the faces and ears of all her doggie siblings.  I could always tell when one of my other dogs had any ear issues happening because Tweet would be fixated on cleaning their ears. Tweet would have made a good hunting buddy.  She could run into high brush and flush out any birds, and baby bunnies too unfortunately. She was a escape artist on occasion in her younger days, always with her partner in crime, my flat coat retriever mix Brandon by her side.  Once, many years ago, a local racing organization had a 5k going right by my house.  Tweet was in the yard and heard the runners going by.  She flew over the fence and joined them for the last quarter mile.  I received a call after she crossed the finish line to come get her!  I didn’t even know she was missing from the yard.  She made my life interesting during her younger years but mellowed a lot as she matured. Tweet was a total love bug with the sweetest disposition. Her loss will be felt until we are reunited at the Rainbow Bridge.  In the meantime, I am sure she is reunited with Harley, Brandon and Lyra and washing their faces and ears again.
