Obituary of Charles McKenna
Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On February 19 2023, Charles “Sir Charles” “Chuckie” passed away peacefully at home in his owner’s arms. Charles was surrounded by his family and our other cats.
Charles was picked by our granddaughter Kerstin, when local a neighbor’s cat had kittens. People often say that orange cats a very different more curious and mischievous personality than most cats, this was so true with Charles.
He definitely enjoyed being around people, in an up close and personal way. When people came to visit, Charles would jump up and sit next to them or on right on their lap. He would love to climb into a big pocketbook or overnight bag and sometimes startled them. He loved to play with his toys and chase a laser toy till he was actually out of breath.
As Charles got older he was still very playful curious watching the birds and squirrels on our doorstep and climbing in any empty cardboard box any making it his new cat house. He would look for things to climb and climb into constantly. In his final years he really enjoyed laying with family members on the couch and was well known to let everyone know it was time to eat with his loud meowing till he got his food! His will be sadly missed his family.
RIP Charles you were loved by all of us!
