Obituary of Momma Bear Harbison

Momma Bear Harbison-Moore 2008-2023

Momma Bear was abandoned on the doorstep of a church with her four, one-day old kittens in August of 2009.  She found her forever home by approaching her future human, and convinced him to follow her to where her kittens were waiting in a clothes basket.  He took her home with no intention of keeping her as he already had three male cats of his own. However, Momma Bear quickly made herself at home and earned her name by fiercely defending her kittens.  

She stole the heart of her human and he is forever grateful for being a part of her life.  When her human met another human, she reluctantly agreed to share.  She made two cross country road trips as her humans moved to and from California.  She was very demanding, requiring a pillow to sit on when she watched tv.  And no matter the weather, she required her human to provide a hand for her to sleep on in bed.  

She will be greatly missed by her daughter Chunk, her humans Tim and Terry, and her four legged siblings Hobie, Marley, and Scooter.
