Hi Caroline - this is Brigette, Magic's mom. Thank you for your message. My deepest sympathy on the passing of Jerome. I'm glad my words touched you. It is never easy to lose such a big part of your life. Just know you aren't alone and Jerome is still with you. It's the hardest thing you'll have to do and the grief sometime is unbearable. I read somewhere that letting them go is the last gift you give to them. Their suffering ends and ours begins. Every year on the anniversaries of my pets passing I buy them a dozen roses, light a candle, watch videos and look at their pictures. I also post a picture or video on instagram on their monthly anniversary of their passing. It won't bring them back but it keeps their memory alive and sometimes helps me remember all the good times I had with them. I purchase a personalized box and velvet bag for their ashes on etsy. I also bring them with me upstairs when it is time for bed and downstairs during the day. That way they are still with me. If you want me to share any of the items please let me know.
