Henry Patrick DeLany was born on March 4, 2014 in a snowstorm. He was part of an all chocolate lab litter of puppies. Henry was joined by Cleo, our yellow lab, about a year later. Henry and Cleo had the same mother, but different fathers. Henry has always been a kind, loving dog who enjoyed licking faces and meeting everyone. Henry was a true friend to all. Henry loved being in nature and going on hikes. Henry was a cold weather dog, coming to life in snow and acting slow and sluggish during the summer.

Henry loved summers in Maine where he would go swimming and go on the boat around the lake.

Henry’s favorite activity was eating, there was nothing he would not eat! Henry was constantly hungry. Henry was the first dog our family owned. He was opinionated and stubborn, but he was also the perfect family member. 

Henry was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and passed on March 23, 2024. Henry died during a rainstorm. Many of Henry’s friends stopped by prior to his crossing the rainbow bridge. Please remember Henry as a quirky, loving dog who loved meeting new people, licking faces, eating, going on adventures, and hanging out with his sister Cleo. Henry is loved and will always be loved be his family and many others.
