Obituary of Sadie Zivic
Please share a memory of Sadie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved Sadie lady passed away on Sunday, May 19th. She was such a major part of our world, and it's so hard to deal with the fact that we returned home without her, and it'll be that way forever.
But also, we feel so lucky to have gotten almost 11 years with her! She was such a sweet and loving pup. Those who met her were enchanted by her sweetness. It was a daily occurrence for us to pass someone on the street and notice they looked at Sadie and it brought a big smile to their face.
This was especially the case with little kids. She was at their level, and was so gentle with them. They might jump back when she licked them unexpectedly, but they'd usually go right back in for another.
We spent so much time doting on her (probably too much!), but boy was she worth it. Humans adore dogs for the unconditional love and grace they offer us; a rare thing in what can often be a harsh world. And Sadie's grace and care for us truly felt boundless. She joined us on so many adventures (hiking mountains, traveling cross country) with enthusiasm, and taught us a lot about how to be better humans. She brought us laughter and love every day.
Her absence now leaves a Sadie-sized (times 10) hole for us. While it will take time for life to help us paper over parts of that hole (it will never be fully filled in), we're thankful to have 10+ years of memories to help with that task. Many of those memories involve our families and friends, so thank you to everyone who loved her with us!
She was a people-loving dog through and through, so know that if she met you, she loved you.
RIP our sweet Sadie girl
