Obituary of Savannah Hardin

Please share a memory of Savannah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Sweet Savannah made it 16 and a half years with us, she will always be remembered as our little girl. Her gentle and sweet spirit would melt anyone’s madness, cheer up the saddest moments and bring joy to every moment, she would do therapy on us at no cost and all day long! In her younger years, Savannah was incredibly athletic and energetic, she would run 6 miles, jump 5 ft walls chasing groundhogs, and never backed down from a bark match with dogs 3 sizes bigger. She was protective of her own, and would scare other dogs with her very intimidating high pitch bark. Savannah loved her family and was incredibly effusive even when we left her for a long 10 minutes—wide eyed, wiggly tail, big jumps and generous licks welcomed us often. She never had enough of us and we never had enough of her. She adored our children that she knew from birth and welcome them into the home she reigned in. She would be part of their night routine and jump in their beds full of stuffed animals. Even after our children were born, she was the only one that managed to continue to sleep in our bed. She was also loved deeply her granddaddy, grandma, abuela and abuelo and rest of her family. Princess Savannah also had a diva like personality. She would pick the softest spot, one blanket was never enough, a pile of freshly washed and folded clothes always seem better than her own bed, and Persian rugs for rubbing. Savannah was also very smart, I believe she learned some Spanish and all the made up worlds and nicknames we gave her. Dr. Tancredi would say little Savannah is tough as a nail. She survived various illnesses and surgeries. She was deaf and blind in her old age but it never stopped her from enjoying the yard, the breeze, a good hug, a meal, a good poop, a good nap, and fresh cold water. May we all keep some of our little Savannah alive and be kind, be a good listener, be strong, be sassy, be a diva, be active, be present and be grateful. Gracias adorada perrita, te amamos to infinity and beyond!
