Dutch “Dutch Boy” Schottin
was born in January of 2010,1 of 6 puppies to a beautiful Keeshond Zoe.Our first dog, we drove 3 hours to a small town in PA to pick him up. My husband and I had just moved in together, when we decided we wanted a dog, and it had to be a Keeshond. Dutch (named so after the breed being from the Netherlands) lived true to his breed. A sweet gentle boy, but a stubborn pup who protected us by his bark. He loved food and car rides and preferred the cold weather (Keeshonds are double coated dogs) although he did enjoy the occasional summer swim. He was a ring bearer in our wedding and became a big brother when we had our (human) daughter in 2020 and our son this past April. Unfortunately the last year and a half became difficult for Dutch with several health issues. We know he is now running pain free with his fur cousins who had crossed before him (Leo, Cody, Chubbs, Gent, Santino, Quincy and Ruby). Rest in peace baby boy, mommy, daddy, mom mom Jane and little sister Jules love you and miss you. Continue to protect your siblings and we will one day be with you again
