In Loving Memory of Murphy
(Our Beloved “Kerns, Kernsy, Budgie, Murph Dawg”)
For 13 unforgettable years, Murphy was more than a pet; he was our steadfast companion, playful partner, and greatest comfort. A true snuggle bug, he believed laps were made for him and always found his way into ours, ready to offer warmth and unconditional love.
Murphy loved everyone he met, his ever-wagging tail brightening our days. A devoted food enthusiast, he was forever underfoot, always hopeful to "score" an extra treat—whether sneaking crumbs from the kids or catching the scent of popcorn. In his senior years, he enjoyed the finer things in life, like filet mignon and whatever else his food-loving heart desired.
Murphy lived a full and adventurous life, exploring up and down the East Coast. While he wasn't a fan of water, he adored the beach, basking in the sun, breathing in the salty air, and taking long strolls. As a pup, he was the life of the dog park, eager to play and make new friends. Winter sledding adventures brought out his excited barks and playful spirit. He was there for every milestone—new homes, weddings, and new family members to protect—adapting with us as our loyal, patient companion through every transition.
At home, Murphy made simple moments special. He loved burrowing under the covers at bedtime, basking in sunbeams, or curling up by the fire on cold days. Holidays were magical with him, as he waited eagerly by his Christmas stocking or basked in the extra love on his birthday. His loud, consistent bark was all heart and never harm—a reflection of his gentle spirit, big heart, and playful personality, the perfect mix of “tough guy” and sweet soul.
Murphy, thank you for every snuggle, every belly rub, and every adventure. You were our protector, our loyal friend, and the heart of our family. Life without you will never be the same, but we are forever grateful for every moment you shared with us.
We miss you, Murph Dawg. We’ll see you in every sunbeam, feel you in every cozy blanket, and remember you in all the places you loved. Rest peacefully, sweet boy. You will always be loved.
