Obituary of Sassy Doerfler

We are deeply saddened to share that our beloved Sassy is no longer with us. While Sassy had some health challenges the last 6 weeks, we were still surprised by her passing on October14, 2024. 

We adopted Sassy on June 7, 2018 from Rabbit Haven by the Sea. Lauren found Sassy online and talked about her *every* night until Greg asked, "So when are we meeting her?" At 2.5 years old and 3.5 lbs, our holland/mini lop stole our hearts. 

Sassy brought such joy with her quirky personality living up to her name. Despite being her "sassy" self, she was a real sweetheart who loved getting pets and booping for more! She was with us through covid and other critical times and doesn't even know how much that meant to us. Sassy indulged our creativity and starred in over 30 original and parody music videos showing off her hops, zoomies, and cuteness. 

Our favorite was couch time with Sassy and turns of having a bunny on our laps. She was the softest ever.

We'd like to think if she could have spoken, here are a few things she would've said:

1. Can you pet behind my ears?

2. Can I have all the bananas?

3. I want to run around the basement and chew on all your cords!

4. Don't you dare pick me up!

5. Let's be honest, I run this house.

6. Stop hugging and kissing me!

7. I'm a star! 

We did all we could for Sassy these past 6.5 years of her nearly 9 year life, we only wish it could've been forever.
