Lily, Our Sweet Angel

Lily, oh Lily, our hearts ache losing you,

A soul so pure, so loving, so true.

With a beautiful brindle coat, a true masterpiece of art,

And amazing, soulful eyes that spoke to every heart.

You left us too soon, without a goodbye,

A sudden farewell that makes us all cry.

You were always there, so gentle, so kind,

The truest companion one could ever find.

At the door, you’d wait with a wagging tail,

Your wiggle butt, it would never fail.

Kisses so sweet, snuggles so warm  

 A beauty, a lady, in all that you did,

In your presence, no sadness could ever be hid.

Your love was a gift, a blessing so rare,

And now our world feels so empty and unfair.  

Though you’ve gone beyond, to fields of peace,

Your spirit remains, and our love does not cease.

We’ll carry your memory, Lily, our beloved star,

Forever in our hearts, no matter how far.  

Run free, sweet Lily, where the angels roam,

In our hearts, you’ll always be home.
