Obituary of Brandy Thompson

I moved to OBX, NC with no purpose. 
I just wanted to go live on the beach, so I moved to Nags Head, NC from Glen Mills, PA. Shortly after my arrival I found these 2 sweet boys, Brandy & Drake, who needed rescue. They were very young and were in desperate need of some serious nurturing, love and a home to call their own. I fell in love, brought them home and we spent endless time on the beautiful beaches of OBX until we moved back up to PA.

Brandy and I developed a very strong bond while Drake was more of a loner and chose to hang out with the cats!

Brandy loved water, whether it be an ocean, lake or a sprinkler in the yard! He loved other dogs and spent a couple years going to a fun doggy day care while I was at work! My 'shadow', Brandy, also loved long naps with me. Daily afternoon naps was our favorite pastime activity together. Brandy was fiercely loyal and more loving than any dog I have ever met.

Throughout our life together, we moved several times. I had different jobs, relationships, celebrations, but of course also some difficult life challenges of my own all with my beautiful, doggy soulmate, Brandy, right by my side helping me through it all.

When certain illness and disease took hold Brandy fought so hard and so gracefully all while still happily enjoying life. Unknowingly, Brandy inspired me daily as he faced each new health issue fearlessly and continued through life in his Brandy loving way with that sweet smile and happy wagging tail . (Yes, he had a specific smile when he was happy or excited!)

I may have moved to the OBX with no purpose, but I can say with 100% certainty.... I now know my purpose of moving there....it is crystal clear.

My purpose was to find you, love you and live a life with you, Brandy. 
Although we only had 12 years together it was the very best 12 years of my life. You will always be my whole heart, Brandy. I love you forever & always and I will miss you every single day until we meet again....
